Anyway, mission accomplished: I found the stone I was looking for at Priene and we finally have some decent photos of it to accompany the bad squeeze from the 1990s

Paid an impromptu visit to Airai yesterday to get the lay of the land and see if we couldn't find anything
As it happens, we couldn't find anything, but interesting to see traces of old structures on the peninsula nonetheless

The Loeb edition points, bizarrely, to Proclus's commentary on Plato's Timaeus, as well as a Phokaian coin in his name—but I can't locate the reference in Proclus and there doesn't seem to be a coin published with that name...

This last week I've been spending far too much time on Aristoteles of Rhodes, mentioned solely in Pseudo-Aristotle's Oeconomica as a 'governor of Phokaia'—but who on earth is this guy?
