Might it be that Joy Reid was insufferable (as are Maddow and O'Donnell)? I too dislike cable news and solve the problem by not watching. They cram a 1/2 hour of news into 24 hours. It's exhaustively awful regardless of its ideological bent, essentially "news" on an ESPN Sports Center model.

Bullshit. Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell, Chris Hays, Stephanie Ruhle and Ari Melber (their entire evening lineup) are all left of center. It's likely that you're so far left that these folks seem like MAGA conservatives from where you stand.

Progressives are a captive audience of the Democratic party and moderates aren't and appealing to moderates is the key to winning general elections. Demanding fealty to woke nonsense is anything but appealing. Indeed it is quite off-putting. If the 2024 didn't teach you this, I don't know what will.

It's the far left with their fragility over silly woke shit (e.g., pronouns) alienated independents. The numbers don't lie and progressives should stop lying to themselves that moderates are the problem. Getting the independent vote is the key in the general election.
