You betrayed us today, Senator. You sold us out to the most corrupt, cruel, cynical, dangerous administration this country has ever seen. When they want to break the rules, you're supposed to do everything you can to stop them. You're not supposed to help them rewrite the rules to fit their whim.

Senator, your reasoning seems to be that since they are going to trample us, we should lie down to make it easier for them. But history has shown that cooperating with one's own destruction has never, ever worked to avert that destruction. Please stand up for us!
