I’ve since watched every David Lynch film, and he became my favorite director pretty quickly. An enigmatic creator who’d refuse to explain “what he meant by that” in his movies, the man insisted we tune into the way film makes us *feel.*

A true artist, and irreplaceable.

For 2011, it was a rare find. It became the crown jewel of my physical media collection. I adored the show — I’d never seen anything like it.

Then the revival came out and was the most mesmerizing thing I’d ever watched. I was immersed and *literally* thought about it daily for years afterwards…
