Wait. How am I only just learning there is a sequel to Call of the Sea coming out!?

It looks so beautiful (and mysterious!). Instant wishlist for me!

As soon as I saw that Thank You For Your Application had Papers Please vibes, I knew I had to check out the demo!

The stakes aren't as high but it still gets the heart racing.

You can also buy a plant for your mental health, the company definitely has your interests at heart.

The new Steam Personal Calendar is amazing!
Not only can it show you games you might vibe with, but also games on your wishlist.

I've just found so many new games to check out.

The After School Afterlife (@minibunnies.bsky.social) demo was super weird and very cool. I failed at platforming so they all laughed at me 😅

I beat the boss though, so I guess I showed them.

Also considering fishing 237 guppies. 🎣

Give it a try here:

I haven't done any reviews for weeks because I've been deep in Silksong. Still playing it daily and 60 hours later.

This video is perfect for early game feels!

is there any chance of Hollow Knight or Silksong concerts in the future?

Herdling is a beautiful adventure, from bustling urban streets to snow-capped mountains with fields of flowers bursting out here and there.

The pace is slow and gentle, but never without peril; After all, a shepherd must stay ever vigilant.

I love that 500k people are getting to share this experience for the first time, at the same time!
Shortly, I will be one of the nearly 400k who are still having fun in Pharloom!

I love seeing what is happening in Australian and NZ games!

If you want to check out the showcase too, you can watch it here:

This is a great addition! And maybe now's a good time to mention I have a starter pack filled with cool combat free indies:

bsky.app/starter-pack...

Want to be added (now that it's easier 😂)? let me know!
You can now add people to a Starter Pack directly from their profile.

Starter Packs make it easy to recommend accounts to follow. They already drive nearly 20% of all follows on Bluesky!

I was a big Minesweeper person back in the 90s, so Nurikabe World is feeling super nostalgic, but also way less stressful.

Carve out islands around numbered tiles to blossom beautiful scenery.

Much more calm than an explosion! 🌸

Luna started a blog with a post of all the games she's played this year!

She's played 38 games so far, so it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something new to play.
New post on the blog: all the games I played in 2025 so far! I thought this would be a fun first post so readers can get a better idea of what types of games will be featured in the blog in the future. With 38 games played, this list was bigger than I thought it would be. 😅

Well this looks amazing! And it includes games like Hollow Knight, Celeste and Stardew Valley, so it makes me feel good about the indie games I like 😉
Well, this is it. After two-and-a-half years of work, conducting interviews, playing so many games, and then writing it all up into something legible.

If you've seen my recent posts it will come to no surprise that this #ReviewTuesday is Tiny Bookshop!

I've spent so many hours with the books and people of Bookstonbury. Learning their stories, their favourite spots to hang out and favourite genres.

I can't stop playing!

We love a short game!
Featured in Wholesome Direct 2024 and released earlier this month, Catto's Post Office is an approximately 1-hour game about delivering mail and making new friends in a vibrant town!

I'm not a big achievement hunter, but if I see something that is silly and relatively easy to get, I will do it to the detriment of my game.

Fortunately, in this case (@tinybookshopgame.com), the stakes are pretty low.

No one was harmed on this dangerous day of trade... as far as I know.

I started playing Tiny Bookshop (@tinybookshopgame.com) today, and then 4 hours had past!

I set up shop at a new location and a character that looks just like me walked by!

So, now I'm pretending I'm a character in the game and I live in Bookstonbury. 📔

The Woodo demo is excellent! I've been keen on playing the game since I first saw the wooden toy vibe, but the demo exceeded all expectations!

I love how it brings together the world and story with the gameplay.

I recently had a discussion with some creators about how they feel they have to stay on Twitter, because that's where most of the game news is.

I was considering starting to email devs and ask that they join bsky. Is there a game or dev that you wish was over here?

Birth is a beautifully strange little game. 🦴

You’re lonely, so you build a companion, one puzzle and one bone at a time, obviously.

Gives me A little to the Left vibes, but way weirder.

The art is gorgeous, and the town is full of odd, delightful secrets.

Birth on Steam
You are alone. You will build a creature, a partner, a wet warm heart, a collection of bones.

For my dev friends out there, do reviews on older gamers benefit you?

If I review a game that is 5 years old, are people likely to see it? Does Steam do anything with this information? Or a reviews on recently released games more valuable?

Not indie, but I've been playing Assassin's Creed: Shadows and have spent a lot of time taking NPC portraits.

Who needs the main quest line 😅

Something I enjoy with Assassin's Creed games is the little interaction. Shadows doesn't have much of that, so I'm just making own.
