3rd and 10 and it’s a WR screen, clearly playing for 4th down I get it I guess. DK it’s not an egregious drop it’s a tough play, but if you want the big game, if your the best, catch it. Defensively Benford was a massive loss, and Elam just doesn’t have it, good season, but gotta be better.

This is not the reason we are in this situation, but on one of the biggest plays of the game, the blatant has to be called end of story.

Slow building over time example: every time you get a raise make part of that raise budgeted to the safety fund but don’t change your expenses budget

This forces you to make small decisions of what to cut back on. Usually these changes aren’t noticed because they don’t change the life style.

Don’t: make massive life changes. It’s the reason most fail with their New Years Resolutions.

Do: make small changes that improve over time.

How quickly should I build a safety fund? Again based on you. Make a budget and purposefully set aside savings specifically ear marked for your safety fund. Need help budgeting or knowing how much to put in the fund reach out to a financial professional.

How much should you have? This is based on your personal opinion 6 months of bills is probably a good place to start. If you’re more risky and do 3 months ok. If you’re cautious and do 9 months or more that’s ok too. The point is have something.

Why not use a credit card? A credit card charges interest which means those $2,000 tires when they are paid off cost more amount varies based on interest rate.

For financial success debt free is a pretty regular goal. The safety fund allows for bad things to happen and still avoid debt.
