Alright one more time: The reason why universal policies are preferable to targeted assistance is because they will inevitably miss. Consider for instance..... the unacknowledged vulnerable.
How? Oh how did the circle of 1337 h4x0r5 embrace an elitist ideology?

I often respond mostly positively to notions of needing less dependency on others to live in a modern society. Such as public transit, universal healthcare, less conditions for welfare etc. Not against notions of community just how do we get there. Do the donny dons own the square?

I'm probably due up for another Princess Bride watch but maybe in late winter. Can't do Spinal Tap because of that damn Gimme some Money song. Watched Stand by Me earlier this year. What am I going to do?

Do you assume everyone else believes what you do? Where have we seen that trait often? There's really no issue where you feel like you're in the minority on?

Anybody up for starting Finnegans Wake tonight?
December 15, 2025 at 3:26 AM
Don't know if I mentioned this but back when I quit smoking weed for a while I experienced briefly a "sober buzz".

If Chomsky is like our Orwell then what really is the play with the hard critiques of the media? Break down trust? A more radical look to get your foot in the door with various dissidents or even have them reach out to you? Admittedly I was always suspicious because of the elite university title.

Capitalism makes a lot of things scarce and thus instills a lot of insecurities in people. I think more people wouldn't want a fixed residency if basic services were abundant, for example. Would you get mad if at any given time on a train 10% of the passengers were musty and taking a nap?

Another point about Neoliberalism: If the state were truly permissive then why don't we have socialist institutions? Does this permissiveness only break right? Yes. So, it's a right-wing order. If you say they're one in the same I will be forlorn.

Much like apoliticality trying too hard not to aestheticize politics in effect does that. Like what really is up with Trump's face?
December 5, 2025 at 5:26 PM
I wasn't comparing Godzilla to all of the atrocities happening now and thus somehow cute. I don't even remember what I was getting at. Maybe there is an urge to bundle all of them into one thing and deal with it and laughter is a cope for helplessness. I don't know, I'm just rattled.
December 5, 2025 at 4:11 PM
I likely wasn't taking a shot at you if you're a woman and less so to everybody lately. I take things personally way too much too, could relate to this problem I have around this time of year.
December 4, 2025 at 4:03 AM
So then you didn't really care for my shoutout to Chi-town with my memoir? Was that self-serving in this monastic paradise of tranquil vines? I will resume not alluding to 50 things and keeping it compact within the frame of my own damn life like you, a vulgarized concept of a warrior monk.

When Trump wakes up to go golfing or whatever you think his pentagon handler plays the Scarface soundtrack for him? Or do you think he's their antediluvian babyyyyyyyyy?
December 1, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Oh yeah I remember Mr. Robot. Now people aren't allowed to be paranoid about anything without being raked over the coals for being overly dramatic. Hacking was never a thing either. Total amateur hour. So hack man. It killed a fashion accessory like the JFK assassination.

This academic/government view of the economy as liberal amongst many socialists displaces the worker's perspective of struggle against employment. You want to make the argument that we should nationalize everything but that won't get the goods like saying we will become equal in our workplace.

Hack this hack that, who's really being hacked here?

And for what?

You find out about mountains of shit people have done and it doesn't faze them at all and people respect that. No wonder things spiral. Absolute doormats.
November 28, 2025 at 6:15 AM
I disagree with myself when I implied that there is a meaningful distinction between the moral and economic. Elite impunity is what you get when everyone has to work for them in order to live. Maybe not even a consequence of it but the same phenomenon. Could be an injustice too perhaps.

I'm just out of my mind and it always seems to happen around this time of year. Like, are my eyes deceiving me?
November 25, 2025 at 3:56 AM
I have been checking twitter more lately and spotted, I'd hopefully guess is a rare take, that ICE goons are unemployable losers harassing good and honest working people and to that I say it's just yet another shade of fascism.
November 24, 2025 at 9:25 PM
I'm not partial to liars or happy people per se but it might be more dutiful to mind the people shitting in your face.
November 24, 2025 at 8:02 AM
When Trump said...... what I thought he said the other day a faceless grin appeared in my mind I just haven't been able to shake since.
November 21, 2025 at 3:22 AM
Need a toaster to tell me what the Israeli government position is on anything totally impromptu.
November 14, 2025 at 4:06 PM
The relevant people have put their foot down. Is that cooking with gas or laserdisk?
