The bottom part of the saucer was retained (the paintjob near the centre is the same, I _think_ they only repainted the teal recessed ring) just the lighting was reworked. So just maybe the stucked addons refer to those pieces of the new impulses/hangars that got mounted to the bottom of the saucer?
