Last thing to add about cat game... shader talk.

Theres this adorable LOD thing the "The Big Catch" does, they (probably) used some kind of shader magic to simplify the colours of distnace geometry, similar to fog. I tried to replicated it, reminds me of spyro 🤔.

Also further modified clouds.

In an old post, I showed off some planet scale generation (thank u voxel plugin ❤️) + cloud shader etc. I couldnt help myself 😅, and put some of it together. Kitty needs somewhere to run around right? And get around, so I made her a boat 😄

(big thanks to scrappy's planet ocean plugin for ue5 too)

To follow up, I've also been working on a climbing system. (And inventory, but I think im going to completely change it please ignore for now)

It works the same as "Jusant" (fanastic game btw) where u use the gamepad triggers to move left/right hands. Not quite there yet, few major bugs, its close!

Wow, been forever since I posted anything, or updates on my game. A whole year even 😳

Lotta stuff has happened, so much. Will need multiple posts 😅, first things first. That cat game? The character needed a re-design, ditched the motion matching template and animated her from scratch!

Im a little too self satisfied with figuring out how to make a bouncy bass line in VCV rack 2, I just had to share it :V.

No idea how to music, its all maths or something? I didnt tell it to play those specific notes 😳. #vcvrack #synthsky

Managed to sort the feet IK out, shes moving more smoothly now.

& Found this lovely photoscan of southbank undercroft in london on sketfab by "artfletch" (not to scale).

I was looking for art references and got the intrusive thought to see how it would look in a level (to realistic i think).

Spent the last few days making this little #lowpoly #furry #furryart character for my game. The rigs/bones are still a bit cooked (quite the hassle blender > #UE5 Quinn).

Looks quite nice showacing it in Marics's PSX demo with the motion matching template.

Maybe I should teach her how to skate? 🤔

Been working on a little game project! This is extremely early and almost everything is placeholder.

(Ignore the ugly space to planet transition plz >.<)

Its all procedural, so the amount of planets, moons etc. Totally customizable, still got some kinks to iron ofc.
