The Corrupt drake is able to effortlessly slip in and out of the shadows due to its dark, oily hide. If encountered, it is strongly advised to retreat immediately.

These drakes have four arms, two primary forearms, and a smaller secondary set which they tuck into their chest. These arms are used to grapple hold of prey and not let go.

Despite their often smaller sizes, Draconis Corruptus are exceptionally aggressive and will actively hunt other dragon species. One has been recorded to have successfully hunted a Scottish Highlands Drake.

The temperament of these drakes are generally considered steady. They’re regarded as a relatively calm species that don’t seek conflict, but will readily defend themselves to the death when necessary.

Draconis Conscendo is considered to be highly vocal, with a series of multi-layered bellows which are said to be similar sounding to bagpipes. Some historians believe that it was in fact the Highland Drake who inspired the creation of the bagpipes unique sound.

The Highland Drake sports a set of formidable and distinct claws on their hind and forelegs. These are used for gripping onto the rocky highland terrain they call home. Said claws can also be used in combat with devastating effect.

Another affectionate name for these creatures is the “Kilt Dragon”. This is due to the fact that they can manipulate the thick plumage around their flank to cover their hind legs. It can also be expanded to make them appear larger.

Highland drakes are most commonly found in areas of rocky terrain, and make their homes in outcrops overlooking lochs and the ocean. Their diet consists primarily of fish, and their long snouts make snatching prey from the water a breeze.
