Is it finally time for smart watches to start pushing battery life?!

With Qualcomm pushing for 1 week of battery life on their hardware, maybe they'll start putting some decent stuff out there rather than holding everything back
The OnePlus Watch 3 just kicked off a battery life arms race with Apple and Samsung, and I couldn't be more excited
The OnePlus Watch 3's five-day battery won't live up to real-time usage, but it'll push "Ultra" watches to do much better.

Years ago I was happy paying for Netflix, for it was convenient & decent value

Few years ago I begrudgingly paid for 4 steaming services, as each was okayish, but overall value and convenience was meh

This year I'll be cancelling my last steaming service, as now it's just frustrating and expensive

Pretty proud that us Aussies have some good stuff to offer still

Looking forward to finally watching it as I move into that phase of life soon 🫣

Absolutely not surprised - I've been wanting a decent small tablet for years, and all we ever had was Samsung e-waste.

Hopefully shows other companies that there is demand for decent small tabs!

While 3 million is quite a lot, a little surprised it isn't more

I hope the extension gets removed entirely at some stage though, no surprise either of these companies are doing dodgy stuff

Surprisingly found Mufasa to be enjoyable...

Yeah, some of it is nostalgia, and it definately would be improved without the Princess Bride storytelling bit / cringy Timon and Pumbaa gags

But the actual story part, pretty enjoyable, and the animals had more visible emotion and development too

When shopping for a stroller, is it weird to be hesitant of a model named Vista because Windows Vista was so bad?

Guess I don't need Paramount+ now - the apparent home of Star Trek hasn't been all that friendly to it.

Letting Star Trek Prodigy go was also a mistake, Season 2 was soo good

I always love when we get it presented so clearly

Like, sure - some accidents can be unavoidable (usually due to humans), but human drivers are far worse

Keen for Waymo and other safe (likely not Tesla) self driving tech to take over all the driving
Waymo still doing better than humans at preventing injuries and property damage
Insurance claims back up safety claims.

Star Trek Lower Decks has been so good, with each season getting more epic and zany, and managing to cram so many meta jokes and references into it.

In a time where Discovery wanted to try and change everything for the sake of it, I'm glad Lower Decks was around to remain faithful

Thanks Google, didn't need you picking on me for my hoarding ways too 🤣

Great feature, but I expect some may have to be careful

Sure, it's accepted that over 80% battery hurts longevity, but so does under 20%

If by limiting the charge to 80% makes it dip under 20% more, it may not be worth it.
Pretty solid if you can keep things plugged in throughout the day though

Google's new 80% charging limit feature for battery health now also means its Pixel phones support bypass charging as a byproduct.

Well, Moana 2 was certainly a disappointing movie

I know it's kinda expected from a Disney sequel and to just keep the kids happy, but c'mon... The first was so good, I know you could do better...

With only one episode left of Star Trek Lower Decks, getting a bit disappointed it's ending

The last few seasons have been amazing and Star Trek has really benefited from the joy and whimsy!

Finally seen Wicked (so many movies coming out at the tail end of the year)

Felt like a bit of a bait and switch not marketing it as part 1 only to find out it was

Might have gotten slow around Emerald City, but ended on quite a high - otherwise pretty enjoyable and of course a solid soundtrack

Well I wouldn't have thought I'd see China taking the lead on something like this

"Providers should avoid recommendation algorithms that create 'echo chambers' and induce addiction, allow manipulation of trending items"

actually sounds pretty ethical - if anything changes is another story
