But how many are coming in undetected and thus untaxed?

“According to importers and logistics specialists, up to 10% of all Russian imports were stuck at the border with Kazakhstan by November, which even created problems with product availability for some companies—especially marketplace sellers.”

Here’s the deal. This may seem like some surprise breaking news, but it’s not. It might just one of first times in that it gets published widely in a large U.S. based publication.

This has been discussed by myself & others who follow Russian Economics seriously for quite a while now.

And…

When this bunch, that has close ties to the Kremlin, publishes it in Russia, that it’s not a secret anymore.

So…the source may want to be anonymous but they’re not really leaking anything that isn’t out in the open.

Note: There was a report from the Swedes a while ago that was one of the best I’d seen. I can’t find it (yet?), but they warned about a banking crisis too.
