Story time. I was 13 when Mortal Kombat came out. Mom said I couldn't play it, even though the SNES version had no blood. Trading w/ friends, I soon had my own copy. She almost found it once, so I cut the PCB out of the cartridge and played it by inserting it into the Game Genie.

In the late 90s, I found my favorite band, Hot Water Music. One of my "other moms" from when I was a teenager moved from Chesapeake, VA to Rough and Ready, CA. A couple years ago, she posted some lyrics from this band. Turns out she lives next door to Chuck Ragan. I have to visit soon!

In the late 90s, I found my favorite band, Hot Water Music. One of my "other moms" from when I was a teenager moved from Chesapeake, VA to Rough and Ready, CA. A couple years ago, she posted some lyrics from this band. Turns out she lives next door to Chuck Ragan. I have to visit soon!
