I agree in principle: shooting someone should always be the very last resort.
But these actions are more layered than just "war on drugs", in the sense of closing one of the bigger source of income for Maduro (not Venezuela). Ends justify the means? I lean to "no"... but it is indeed choking Maduro.

Far from me to defend His Orange Highness actions, murder is murder indeed.
But also not condemn the action just bcause it came from His Royal Decree like Wonderland's queen of hearts, after all, what do one do as a cop when someone suspicious (and those are) starts to run when told to stop?

I have been there, being forced to go back to the office because of management narrow-mindedness. It did not matter my showing increase of tasks completed an goals reached. Eventually goat fired for asking for a rise to compensate the extra overhead and commute time of working in person.

For years I used to employ the "Modesty Blaise universal passport" tactic of carrying around a clipboard or notepad, pencil in hand. Even my bossed always approached me with "when you have the time, can you ...."

Maybe corporations could be thought of like a macroorganism, somewhat above humans in the food chain.
Clearly shouldn't be exterminated greenpeace style, but a push should be made for symbiosis and alignment of objectives.

We should change the "save the planet" mantra, that implies that the thing being saved is a diffuse impersonal something, and say "save humanity" which is more exact and more personal.

Secure boot got in my way sometimes (I believe in the very laptop I'm writing this, Inspiron 7537) and it showed a message telling me to enable Compatibility Support or add the USB boot signature. I think Acer computers show more BIOS/UEFI options if you set the BIOS supervisory password.
