I need to say this. Medicaid cuts start for real in 2028, whereas unlimited funding for ICE starts NOW. We must fight both battles but if we fixate on the cruelty of cutting Medicaid and fail to address the deeply and unpopular immigration actions then we will all be in detention camps anyway.

The health care angle is real and tragic but that message is not working. I wish the left would spend more time and energy fighting ICE by highlighting the now unlimited funding for a violent immigration policy which is just a stepping stone to an oppressive police state for all Americans.

The governors and the judiciary are holding strong. I can't help but wonder why academic institutions and law firms are so unwilling to join forces and fight the lawlessness of Trump as a coalition. I for one will not forget or forgive their cowardice.

Exactly, I grew up Catholic, so your post resonates with me. Sometimes I think that Republicans are exactly the people that Jesus turned the tables over on at the temple. This is why we have non-denominational evilgelicals, they can twist the Bible any way they want without any oversight.

Elon out of DOGE could be a good thing? Maybe the program has run its course and is now seen by the administration as a net negative, or maybe they realize that they can do more harm by having a lower profile. Doing harm is the goal, and that's not going to slow down, with or without Elon.

I've come to the conclusion that there are two kinds of Republicans—willing accomplices and reluctant cowards. It would appear that Jim Banks of Indiana is the former.

I would never condone violence as a solution, but I can't help but think that the Walgreens killer's outrage would have been more accurately directed at a big pharma CEO than an ordinary Walgreens employee.

I'm sure that RFK, once a reasonable person and now a lunatic in servitude, has been told that the "program" is to fire as many public employees as possible. The more educated and vital the employee is, the more reason to fire them. We see it, and we won't forget.

Let's see… We have forever chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, microplastics, and a host of other man-made carcinogens that we are all exposed to daily, but I'm going to go with vaccines as the leading cause of every public health crisis that I can't explain. Thanks, RFK, you the man!

Schimel must lose. This is a huge test for elections in every state. Musk must lose. The voters must send the message that morality > money. If we win, it will demonstrate to the billionaires that we cannot be bought. The opposite, of course, is also in the balance.

"One" of the problems with detaining people without due process is that it will never know if Alireza Doroudi is a foreign agent or not. No one will know, including the CIA, NSA, FBI, and ICE. Their incompetence and cruelty are literally self-decapitating. It's called Intelligence for a reason.
