The Mabinogion is extraordinary, though. Like a very sophisticated 4 part intergenerational novel.
Also how the tale straddles pre-Roman and Post-Roman Britain, while seeing the Roman period as a mere blip of an interegnum.
Its quality almost makes up for how little else there is.
