season 3 is an all out bloodbath between Ave Mujica and RAS. They both need this.

My understanding is that the official subs come from bushiroad's translators, and that any awkwardness in them is for ESL reasons rather than AI ones.

Its just the episode descriptions that are machine translated. the subs are not
July 3, 2025 at 2:31 AM
They also left out subs for the episode 3 Haruhikage in MyGO, but had it properly subtitled both other times the song was performed. I think its more that they were rushing the subs out the door at the last minute for the first bit of both series (MyGO episodes 1-3 aired all together)

thankfully it only has that problem in the first episode for some reason, after that the lyrics are all translated in the subs

Sakiko knows the real Uika by the end of the anime, but Uika still doesnt know the real Sakiko. I don't think anyone but Tomori and Mutsumi do, by Sakiko's own choice to emotionally distance herself as a coping method.

Uika will have to learn for them to have a chance of stability in the long term.

They've been living together for at least a month now and Uika has either yet to realize that Sakiko does not drink coffee, or is incapable of breaking from the domestic script she'd planned out in her head.

She's spent ~10 years building up a daydream based on one day of interaction, and that has blinded her to the discrepancies between what she wants to see and whats in front of her.
June 12, 2025 at 2:10 AM
Multiple people I've shown it to have independently said, even knowing the sort of franchise Ave Mujica is tied to, that they were worried she was going to throw herself in front of the train in that scene.

I mean, it absolutely is romantic from Uika's side. Girl is down horrible. But the thing the uisaki shippers don't like to acknowledge is that its also completely unrequited.
May 18, 2025 at 12:50 PM
There's even a point where she realizes the focus is drifting so she flips through her mental script on stage in order to re-center Sakiko as the main character of her life.
May 17, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Its like that as a mirror to MyGO episode 3. Tomori can't be anything but authentic, so we get unfiltered 1st-person perspective. Uika however is deeply guarded, and constantly dwelling on her shame, so instead we only get her narrativization of her childhood, as told to herself inside her own head.

She Armin Tamzarian'd it
May 17, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Sakiko tells her outright its because of her flashy ambidextrous drumming style. She saw Nyamu's potential and took the gamble that she'd be able to get up to speed in time for debut.

MyGO and Ave Mujica are standalone, they were originally concepted separately from the larger Bandori franchise and you don't need to know anything about the older bands beyond "Morfonica is a band that exists and shares a school with Soyo and Mutsumi"

A show about five mentally unwell teenagers forming a symphonic metal band and having the pressure of being in the public eye exacerbate all of the problems they were trying to escape from.
