My only 'minimize' comes from writing 'minimum' in a little mini-comic script in my writing group as a response to a prompt
Panel 3: Out pops a devil! They're a red-scaled person with cloven hooves on their two feet, stubby horns, yellow eyes, and a smug, mysterious expression. On the other side/hand, Djov jumps out of her skin, dropping her crucible, sending little bits of scrap metal everywhere. Panel 4: A closeup on Djov, visibly calmer, but looking tired already. DEVIL (from off-panel, demonically): A DEBT MUST BE REPAID AND I HAVE COME TO CLAIM MY DUE Panel 5: The devil is standing tall, leaning forward, with a evil-looking shadow trying to fill the room. Djov is nonchalant, bending down to gather up the spilled scraps. DJOV: Favors can only be exchanged for product of equal or lesser value, contingent on the credit of the grantor. DJOV: Any exchanges require full paperwork, signed by two witnesses, minimum.

Another sister-heist scene today, when I was really focused on being a little more voicey

As she stood, frozen again, she saw that the mural wasn't done---two figures stood by it, one on a rickety ladder leaning against the wall---and the other a few paces back, pointing. In a flash, she realized that the second figure was Moena, her bangles catching the light from the courtyard's street lights and shining up at her. "Holi!" She started at the hissed words from behind her. Heart pounding, she spun to face Ellie. Ellie's face was flushed, heated from exertion, anger, or something that didn't bear thinking about. "Shit!" She took a deliberate breath, forcing her nerves into compliance. "Sorry. Just---" "Look. We don't have a lot of time. Something's wrong." What? Had she learned the same things about the complex, about their rent fund? Were those same chilling feet affecting her? "What's the problem?" The simple question left too much unsaid, assumed so little. But she wanted to give more, she wanted to point at the pair spray-painting in the courtyard and say "See? Maybe they can help us. Maybe this whole thing is too awful, too selfish, and we can just ditch this thieving thing and ask for their help, honest-like."

A bit of a quiet moment and some worldbuilding in sister-heist

There were a couple of counters to gather around, but chairs were abviously mobile enough to have been moved away, so Holi snuck over to a corner where she could sink into a cross-legged spot with her back against the wall. With the bowl cradled in her lap, the savory fumes relaxed her as she waited for it to cool enough to start eating. Ellie was just behind her and a few moments later, Moena slid down. "You two are too good at slipping off into the margins," she said. She and Ellie responded at the same time, "It's a skill," Holi said, while Ellie added, "It's a survival strategy." Moena's laugh jangled like her bracelets, "Well it's a skill you don't need here. You're always welcome among us." Her face turned serious, the creases of smile in her eyes smoothing out. "It's weird the way you two came into our lives right as we needed something to drive us forwards after the destruction. When I was little and still believed in the Azalut's stone gods, I would have said that it was their fate or something."

My less-progressed WIP is a fantasy about a librarian who flies her airship bookmobile and coordinates a rebellion
The airship still has a long way to drop before it turns the two of us—and about five thousand books—into small parts of a surely glorious inferno, so I allow us a full moment of panicked swearing before reeling back in my self-control. "Tell me that wasn't the Ivyeda-damned concentrator again!" The purple smoke filling the engine cabin would give it away even if Ash's shout wasn't. "I mean, I could lie for you." She's already got the charred remains of the crystal that helped give them some buffer to take short breaks between offloading the thaums from the boiler without dropping the ship like the overgrown stone it was in her gloved hands, hustling to toss it out to fall without them. It has about twenty or thirty more seconds until it turns into a far worse problem than the sooty culprit of their near-freefall. As the magic bleeds from the last systems, the only thing keeping our fall from tumbling into complete chaos is the roaring drag of air resistance. What little we'd forgotten to bolt down—or freed to use is tumbling aimlessly, complicating the hazard of pulling herself bodily by the handholds in the walls to the locker with their last spare concentrator crystal.

But after the most harrowing part, after I'm lain up on a stretcher because I can't walk, that's when you finally decide on being on board. What gives?" Alinna can't quite keep her incredulity from adding bitterness in her words.

Power supply and GPU replaced, desk rotated, and cables (mostly) managed.

Though, I am gonna ignore the absolute disaster I made of the rest of the room doing it
