More good news: They are looking for an aviary for Budgie Birb

Was wondering how a bird that had been winging around Central Park with its own borrowed flock was going to adjust to parakeet life.

Will, at least, have pals and be able to fly some.

Just opened my new "down altenative" comforter. (25 bucks att Macy's. Such a deal. Marked down from $130. Really.)

Put on porch, draped over a chair, so it could decompress and air out.

Went out and found this.

Guess it's good.

Since I can't attend in person, will be relentlessly reposting #NoKings pics from 11 EDT onward.

And turn off any biometrics on your phone. Use numbers. Cops can't ask your passcode. Can use your body.

Have fun. Stay safe. Save Democracy.

(And repurpose your signs when you get home.)

To celebrate its 150th Anniversary, Smith College announced free tuition for students whose family makes less than 150K.

Now the best education for women - alumnae donations are making this possible - is free.

Announcement made today by President Sarah Willie-LeBreton.

Kai cat, out all night, got sorta tricked inside this morning.

Ate a litle.

Starting whining. On hour two of pacing, mewing misery.

Not sure what to do. Keep her safe or keep her happy?

Want to say happy. But I cannot stay up all night over and over worrying.

Going with safe.

She's miserable

My cat Kai decided to torture me by not coming in tonight.

And now I can hear foxes shrieking.

When she comes back, she is never going out again. I will suffer her screams to go out.

I also feed a feral Tortie every night.

So never happy to hear foxes and coyotes.

Good news!

Oz is no longer part of iHerb.

Those of us who had abandoned evil Amazon and began ordering heavily from iHerb, can continue to enjoy their good services.

"The Candidate" is darn near perfect.

Especially if you are interested in ad biz. Or politics. Or how nothing has changed in 50 years.

Sorry to send you to Twitter, but knew how much you would enjoy about 10 of these GOP officials posting incorrect or foreign planes.

Yay, you!

Did the same. Since hulu doesn't offer a covering "why I am leaving" online option, emailed them.

support@hulu.com

Put "subscription" in the subject line so they would open it. Here's what I said.

(If I had seen your post first would have added stuff stolen from you, too.)

Every year I take advantage of Black Friday subscription offers. Amazing savings.

Just cancelled my Hulu/Disney deal.

There is no way to explain when you do that.

So emailed this to support@hulu.com. Suggest you do the same.

"The Candidate" is my favorite movie of all time, ever.

You can stream at Apple for $3.99. And then you will want too buy it.

How perfectly cast and brilliantly played Redford was.
September 16, 2025 at 7:20 PM
Imagine "Ordinary People" being the first movie you ever directed.

Imagine founding the Sundance Festival to share your clout.

Imagine starring in "The Candidate" (My favorite movie, ever) and having that be down the list of iconic achievements.

RIP, Mr. Redford. Forgotten you will not be.

Robert Redford was a monumental talent. Just staggering achievements.

From Butch Cassidy to Ordinary People to founding Sundance, just to start the list.

And, oh, could he light up the screen. And the audience. So much the audience,

Memories...

OMG!

Allison Gill just pointed out this is a drawing of a "pre-pubescent teenager".

She's right.

I'm ill.

At 2:40 AM on Feb 7, 1775, Parliament voted Massachusetts to be officially in rebellion.

Likely to work out as well for Trump. MA not even gonna let RFK erase their vaccines.

After the vote, Lord North, the First Minster, sounded like Putin.

Ukrainians got the spirit of 1775 MA for sure.

Stats from Rick Atkinson's "The British Are Coming", about the US n 1770, point to why Trump wants a dumb, poor, sick population.

Smart, educated people rise up.

Have had many black cats. Kamala, Maisy, Tate, pictured, all departed, years ago.

Now have Bombay slinky kitty Kai. So def have a soft spot for them.

Lasagna is very, very cute. May he continue to improve.

On left, Trump's hand this morning.

Stop buying Lesser Evil popcorn!

The CEO, who sold to Hershey, is the father of the DOGE bro "Big Balls".

Love the product. Not anymore.
