FYI. The federal agencies are being told NOT to contact fired employees.

We've been put on Admin Leave. We'll get backpay. We will not return to work for the foreseeable future.

Technically this means they've "rehired" us. But 30% will need to be RIF'd. We're being cut loose anyway.

Reduction In Force.

So instead of "firing" employees they're now officially "downsizing."

I'm not sure what language they'll spin it with. The effect is the same.

UPDATE: We've been put on retroactive Admin Leave. We are not going back to work. The Admin Leave is indefinite while they prepare RIF documents. 30% of the agency will still be jobless.

I have no idea. Some of us have tried to inquire about it all, contacting our former supervisors. No one will talk to us. Zero answers given.

I'm a fired USDA employee. They didn't hire me back, nor did they hire back others who were fired with me.
