I was a circuit brat for a few years, its how I got hired as a Gym Trainer. I shifted my focus more towards that and gave up the grind, I wasn't good enough to clear Liza anyway, and the dream of being active champ is kind of a childish one. I don't think I'd handle it well.

money and the chance to battle for the role of acting Champion for that season. All of it is fully optional, and even 90% of battle grinders don't end up claiming the acting Champ bout. But it keeps people rechallenging Gyms to qualify to perform in each tier, which keeps the league healthy

I had 2 Poochyena, one named Poo and the other one Ina. They were gifts from my stepdad when he was trying to impress me to help get closer to my bio dad. Ina was on my first battle circuit team, now she's mostly retired. Poo lives with my mom, he's not really a battler.

I'm firmly in the foxes are not dogs camp. Most fox presenting pokemon seem closer to cats than dogs, both in appearance and nature. My Ninetails is definitely just a fox, but if she were either dog or cat, she would very much be a cat.

I really don't think you want the comprehensive list of my pokemon. I have variants for each weather condition, its a lot. I'm also not good at the long winded enthusiastic discussion thing, so it would be a multi-part post of nickname, species, strategy, over and over. Seems less than ideal.

Terrifying, inspiring, and just wild. She also said I should say what I want and she will air Steven's dirty laundry at the drop of a hat, so I guess she's on my side? Hard to say. Hoenn is already a social minefield, Hoenn celebrity is... a lot. Tohjo seems more. Mature. At least from a distance.

Was strictly battle driven. I would discuss with other people, like Ford Silph, privately, about my wish to pursue a more... permanent and stable role in the league, but I was woefully unprepared for the actuality in those early interviews. I must've looked a mess.

I dont really... gush. But my Camerupt does this thing when its about to sneeze where it's face scrunches up like a Muppet, and I find it very endearing. I named him Kermit. But generally I just really enjoy pokemon that aren't seen as typically heavy hitters, using unique utility for success.
