The best advice I heard was - be the same back to the voice in your head. If it doubts you, doubt it. Match its energy. If it gives you positive energy, be positive back. If it is discouraging, discourage it. Question it's negativity, and support its positivity.

We always under estimate how many people haven't played games we love. I'm sure there are millions of people who would love the next half life that know nothing about its history. And many of those don't even have a steam account yet.

If a dev had placeholder text (likely copied from a book source) that I wanted to make sure was unique and sound more sciency I could see the thinking that would have them pass it to an AI to revise.
