No part of the game remakes X or Y's story; Lumiose is the only shared location. The game goes out of its way to clarify that it's a sequel. Calling it a remake is inaccurate

For Windows and Linux, it's just a standard USB-C monitor. Plug it into a USB-C port that supports display out and it'll connect accordingly. Android compatibility varies by device.
