Uni Admin some of the time. Pottery a lot of the rest, when not with nose in book/up a hill/knitting.
Happy Halloween 🎃! (I told Mari Lwyd she was too early but she wasn't having it).

I can't remember the last time I read a story about deep and lasting friendship, of all the joy AND melancholy, it can bring. At its heart that's what I think "Everything Will Swallow You" is about. It has that wonderful strangeness Tom Cox (@dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social) brings to his fiction...1/2

I love living here, surrounded by trees! This cherry is next door, ours died sadly. We put three silver birches (waving from the side here) in her place. 🧡🌳

"Here is that book 'Everything Will Swallow You' by @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social that I heard about from Jim on the cat-telegraph" says Woody, "you should drop everything and read it now!"

Ugh, yes what happened! I often go on Right Move and, when not looking for haunted houses, I torment myself with these riverside properties for a change. This one's a ten minute drive away. Only 2 million quid.

If you like to eat truly smashing food cooked in an outdoor kitchen, in the shadow of a gothic ruin of a tower, then I highly recommend the Tower Inn, Slapton.

This is a great joke, but Al, of course, DOESN'T UNDERSTAND JOKES.

You can't see the "What are the core subjects in mansplaining" question 🤣

Reading a book about Christmas in the middle of summer in an effort to feel less hot.

I am now officially addicted to this "sodium silicate crackly colours on a pot" thing. Going bigger than a pinch pot today, with a super-speedy bit of coiling with fat coils and then easing the clay out.

Managed it even in the stupid heat!

I have many pictures of "just before lights down" at the RSC. Today it was Hamlet - Hail to the Thief. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE (and the only time the Ghost has ever been properly scary in any Hamlet I've seen). Just amazing.
