Fair about Chewie, there maybe should've been more insight into how she was feeling at that time but, i also don't think characters have to suffer to be compelling.

I mean the same is true for Luke in Empire right?? The gap between Empire and Jedi is about the same as TLJ and ROS in universe, if not shorter (its iffy on whether 5 and 6 are 1 year or 6 months apart, lmk if im being dumb)

They both feel the pull to the dark but in very different ways, where Anakin had a slow turn to the dark, Rey had explosions of hate, but learned to control herself.
Just a cool parallel, both arcs are equally cool to me

I disagree, I love her, but I do see where you're coming from. I do think she shares that issue with Anakin, being super strong chosen ones, but thats never bothered me in any media to be honest

I hope she comes back but I completely understand if not. Both because of the toxic part of the fanbase and the mishandling of her (and Finn's) character (thats like my one and only huge criticism of those movies)
