Angora Goats like to play and explore. When we get hay delivered it's hard to keep them from climbing up to stand on the top of 10 foot pile of bales. This girl is practicing jumping off a loading platform.

Angora goats are wonderful funny creatures. They love to climb, jump and explore just like their ancestors who lived in the mountains cliffs in Turkey. No matter how tired I am or sad they can make me laugh.

I wash and dye Angora Goat Locks that are called Mohair Locks. The photo shows me with locks that have been dyed and spread out to dry on the driveway. We send some away to have Mohair Roving made for Hand Spinners and fiber artists. I have a special sale going on now.

I love to work with fiber. The photo shows me Hand Dyeing some of our Mohair Locks that come from our Angora Goats. Hand Dyeing allows me to also wash and rinse several times to make sure it is color fast. It maybe blended with wool or used by itself. It adds a jewel like quality to yarn.

Lots of snow at Apple Rose Farm. We are looking at some of our pastures from the deck of our house. Our Cormo Sheep and California Red Sheep love this weather and grow nice thick fleece. We sell their fleece and Roving to hand spinners.

Our Apple Rose Farm is in the far northern Part of New York State up near the Canadian border. We get lots of beautiful snow so our sheep grow a nice thick fleece and enjoy the weather. They also wear sheep coats to protect their fleece from getting dirty and full of hay and other veggie particles.
