Ok, but why should they be put first because of those things? They participated directly in imperialism (for whatever reason) so we should take care of them more than the average worker?

Speaking from my own experience, when I *almost* joined as a very young adult , and entire life of hero worship and propaganda extolling the virtues of people who joined was the reason and finance was an excuse. It sucks to admit that propaganda like that works, but there's a reason they do it.

Many of us did rally behind him though? We criticized the leadership for not supporting him at the same time. I don't understand why you think that being critical of Dems and saying we won't vote for them unless they get better is mutually exclusive with asking for better candidates

But it's not. It's simply not voting for a party that doesn't reflect our values. If the libs want unity, then do those things, advocate for those things instead of treating them like they mean nothing at best, and a detriment at worst.

Trump won't. Dems need it push for it, and campaign on it and then do it. Dems need to advocate for trans rights, and campaign on it and then do it. Those things would go a long way in promoting "Unity" or whatever, but they do the opposite so we won't vote for them. You call this negative.
