As a Kentuckian this is deeply embarrassing. Kentucky is a breeding ground for racist rhetoric as one of the poorest states in the country with a long history of wealth inequality.

I still have the scar and presumably the graphite tip in my shoulder. I'm technically a millennial but I grew up in Kentucky where we're at least 20 years behind the rest of the country as a general rule.

Since the Time of Reagan and Thatcher low wage increases while profits climbed unabated has been almost universal. This needs to be reversed a UBI could be one of the changes required.
