I will say I also didn't like it (for other reasons). But it is a surprise to have a different takeaway! The show is pretty in your face and heavy handed about its themes since its was designed upfront for a much younger audience then usual.

I was mainly speaking in general not about your comments, but I did read your other posts on why you dislike it. But I do have to ask if you watched the entire show? The show explicitly has a message that 'Genocide is bad, other-ing people is bad, holding onto grudges and hate is unhealthy'.

You'll see a lot of overblown disdain for it - and the reason is the same reasons people dislike Marina or Saji. They want action and explosions in their gundam, not peace and communication. Age tells a story of generational trauma and hate, and how we could try to overcome that even if its hard.

A Gundam with zero confirmed kills. The ability to use funnels to make shields and barriers, and safely disable others to remove them from fighting. People really don't know you if they think Age is something you'd dislike.

Imagine if Marina was given the most powerful Gundam. That is the final 15 episodes of Gundam Age.

People who are saying this also haven't watched the show and it shows. The show literally says the opposite of this if you watch all 50.

Just like 00, it presents an alternate incorrect message at first.

Honestly it will be your thing. One of the main protag's verbatim has said lines you say on bsky - and the show has that character be the only correct one. People who say you'll dislike it haven't paid attention to your 00 threads.

GunXSword is a literal critique of the flaws in writing that is Gundam Seed/Destiny. So much of the shows writing, and intentional casting by Sunrise Staff, is done purposefully to admonish Gundam Seed. It's one of my top 5 mecha to this day.

It's the Obari pose. Many iconic mecha shots were all originally done by Obari, who has in fact worked on a bunch of Gundam.

Friend perhaps you can hold off on spoiling plot points by deleting this?

Main reasoning is that helium is necessary for most space tech/mobile suits. Jupiter is 80% helium, so there'll always be a need for helium mining fleets or stations at Jupiter. Which can lead to many fun things.

You should stop posting spoilers when people don't ask, you ruin things for them. Second, those are major spoilers with major implications. You should delete this.

Given your analysis/focus of 00 so far, you'll absolutely consider the movie a 10/10. It was very hit or miss because a large number of people watched 00 only for 'action'.

Because people don't know. It's TurnA Gundam as designed by Nagano. Nagano was Tomino's protege on Zeta Gundam, he designed a large chunk of mobile suits and characters on Zeta.
