We're asking the Minister to:

🔎 Investigate discriminatory insurance practices, and ensure regulation includes scrutiny of indirect racial discrimination;
📈 Request transparency from insurers on pricing algorithms and postcode exclusions;
✉️ Support inclusive products for mobile homes and caravans.

With sites often located in places where other people would not be expected to live, such as near sewage works and flood plains, there is an increased need for insurance to protect against the high risks and impact of living there.

Attempts to take out insurance on mobile homes, caravans, contents, and vehicles registered to an address on a Gypsy and Traveller site more often than not results in refusal of cover, or disproportionately unaffordable premiums.
