The phrase “light leaving one’s eyes” came to mind, and Light in the context of DELTARUNE is very much a Player thing. We’re the Lightbringer, after all. It’s thanks to us that Kris is able to seal fountains.

Also, while ripping out the SOUL, Kris' eyes shine an uncharacteristic white instead of the familiar red.
