The first boss of Spyro 3. When I played that game as a 4 year old, seeing this dude dancing around and making weird noises in an arena surrounded by fire with that menacing music I thought i was in hell or something. Honestly always funny looking back considering how easy the boss is.

Going from Raidou to Demi-Fiend got me thinking of Dante and I honestly think it's never talked enough how awesome his outfit is in DMC2. Sure the game sucks but man this outfit and these poses are cool. something i miss from dmc5's design is the longer coat aspect from older designs.

Going further into SMT, big fan of Demi-Fiend. It's a very simple design and I really love the pose he's always shown in.

Raidou Kuzunoha: I think this also carries a similar style to "long red scarf = cool" formula. Long black sleeveless coat with a big collar AND he turns it into a cape for combat is so sick. I also love his constant smirk. Kazuma Kaneko can do great designs (kinda sucks he's doing AI stuff rn)

First one that came to mind was Hotsuma from Shinobi on the PS2. I think what makes him especially cool is actually how he looks in-game and how the scarf animates. Seeing this game as a child basically made me fall in love with long red scarves.

Tried the demo for Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved and it was so awesome. I can't wait for the full game. If you like ace attorney, hotel dusk or ghost trick you should absolutely check out the demo. Also such an awesome title for a game.

Hyper Light Drifter:
I won't lie, I didn't really enjoy this game that much. I think some ideas of it are cool, the storytelling with only pictures, the sprite animation is really impressive and the music is pretty nice but I can't stand how slightly off the controls feel. (cont.)

something I've always appreciated about Tales of the Abyss that I only shows up in a few RPGs is it's menu aesthetic. I love the whole documentation and passport type look. It's like actual notes and pictures of your party members. It's something i also really love about superstar saga too.

Tales of the Abyss (PS2)
I loved this game back in middle school and I'm happy to say I still love it. I do think there are some pretty big downsides to it, the voice acting isn't perfect, the second third of the game is kind of a mess and some mechanics and sidequests are really obtuse.
