She might have eaten the baby if she thinks something's wrong with it (or if it has passed) or if she feels like she doesn't have enough milk for all of them. That may be why you haven't found it.

Definitely - even after almost 12 years of having rats, it's always emotional to lose them. Easier with some, harder with others. There's always The One you would wanna keep forever!
