"I am there in the time of dark isolation. I carry a flashlight and a sketchpad. I share stories of my own journey. When they ask me how I survived the perils of my dark caverns, I tell them the truth: I don't know, I guess I pained my way home."

A quote I read once: “There are countless things that divide us. But, what divides us is secondary to what unites us”… this approach helps even when it comes to sticking together against those that seek control only for their own selfish gains (ie: community is strength)

Once they arrived at the tree, they sat in a circle and enjoyed the fruits together. When he asked them why they chose to run as a group when they could have raced against each other for the whole basket, one child spoke up and said, “UBUNTU—how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?”

Once, an anthropologist proposed a game to kids in an African tribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told them that whoever got there first would win the entire basket. When he gave them the signal to run, they all took each other’s hands and ran together.

“…you feel a pang in your chest, a bit like a short, sharp stab. Its there to remind you – you’ll never be quite the same, never on the same level, you’ll never have quite the same opportunities, the same privileges, the experiences and the rites of passages everyone else takes for granted.”

TIL that TONY’S® Pizzas are a well-loved staple for schools, concessions, non-commercial cafeterias and kids’ menus nationwide. They also apparently supplied a ton of pizza (when not made from a recipe) yayyy!!

OMFG someone has GOT to know wtf that pizza was so we can hunt it down… meaning, which company/distributor made it for school luncheons!?

Fertility clinics aren’t synonymous with IVF (also, in the medical landscape we have distinctions between “clinic” vs “center” because scope of services vary between the 2)… i.e: there are other forms of fertility care that don’t entail IVF as an option #TheMoreYouKnow
