The questions are similar across all contexts: Who gets a voice? Who controls resources? How do we coordinate at scale? How do we build systems that serve people, not just institutions?

My goal: contribute insights from decentralized tech and bring back perspectives from this convening into our industry. How can we build technologies that actually future-proof young people's lives - especially those in LDCs and SIDS who are most affected by governance failures?

I'm coming to this conversation from the emerging tech space, where we're building systems focused on financial sovereignty and individual empowerment. But I'm also coming to listen and learn from youth advocates working on the front lines of social development globally.

The theme: "Building Solutions Together for an Inclusive Future" - focusing on governance, social development, and youth participation in multilateral decision making.

→ When new issues collide with old infrastructure, we need innovative financial rails that don’t just fund capacity, but reimagine how it’s resourced.

→ Multilateral leadership is increasingly tested - in the absence of strong institutions, it’s politics + people that move tech forward.

→ UN reforms show the challenge of budget cuts + AI integration. What can ecosystems like Ethereum/crypto learn from inefficiency at global scale?

→ There is a clear divide in how the Global South vs Global North frame AI acceleration, digital policy, & emerging tech. Narratives matter.

When I think about the outcome of my life and the way I want to pursue my goals, i go back to this quote that anchors me

you can dream and build something fundamentally different

something that is not weighed down by the baggage of politics, or partisan struggle

you can believe in collective ownership for humans and you can believe in collective ownership for non humans

Come Black Friday this year we will see how product prices will unfold, the quality for goods (are you paying more for inferior goods), and business closure rates, especially if consumers have less to spend!

→ Increased health and environmental risks: We will have more exposure to microplastics, toxic dyes, and harmful synthetic fabrics, which will lead to polluting our waterways, harming wildlife, and damaging ecosystems.

→ Higher retail prices: Consumers will end up paying the full tariff cost.
→ Cheaper manufacturing inputs: Expect a shift from cotton to synthetic materials like polyester or other cheap synthetics.
