I need more research on this! Would people making knitting patterns be great programmers?

So how come knitting/crochet is female-dominated and programming is not? Is it the tech part? Both require time and logic. And if you program computer games, it's still creative work... also both use "software" 😄

I saw a TikTok that explained the similarities between knitting patterns and programming, and I do agree that some patterns basically look like some kind of programming language. Right??
