I don't think it was resolved well at all, but characters can have more than one arc. Luke had an arc in the original trilogy, so was it wrong to include him in the sequels? For that matter, he had an arc in A New Hope. That doesn't mean including him in Empire Strikes Back was a mistake.

If his purpose is to improve or restore the party, he's doing it in a way that pisses off the leadership, which is a very important distinction that this person seems to be ignoring. We also shouldn't be looking to electoralism to achieve socialism in the first place.

Which part was supposed to be the idiom? I'm not familiar and nothing came up when I looked. I said this because I see a trend of liberals online from Schumer on down calling these things mistakes or something similar. Another liberal trend is not being able to take criticism, so great work!

They've been on the record for years. That's not nearly good enough. His record didn't stop him from getting where he is now, and it won't stop him from hurting far, far more people without meaningful action.
