Making new sandals for my deer! The ones I hastily made hours before MFF last year kinda suck so I need to make a new set that doesn't flop around and threaten to fall off at any moment.

I designed a 3D printed fursuit paw dryer because I didn't really like any of the free ones I could find. www.printables.com/model/148389...

The first freeze of the year happened a couple days ago and caused the trees to drop a crazy amount of leaves in one day. Here's my yard after filling SIX yard waste barrels.

Working on sandals for the hooves on my deer Jayde kigu in the hotel room before MFF starts 🦌🦌

The bird sandals are complete! All the ugly edges are covered up with an extra thin layer of foam and a black nylon strap around the perimeter.

Now to find out if they hold up. Everything is hot glued together. I think it holds strong enough but I'll find out when they really get tested at MFF.

I'm working on sandals for the feet on bird Jayde. It took lots of trial and error to figure out how to set up the straps to prevent the sandal from rotating out from under the heel. I thought it would need rear straps but it turns out these are enough. 🐦 🐦

I finally got around to taking some better pictures of my new kigu! I'm excited to wear this at MFF in a month!

After 9 years of going to MFF, this is going to be my first time staying in the main hotel!

I 3D scanned it and 3D printed it at half scale. I want to do this to a whole fursuit some day.

This came out amazingly well! I'm super excited to wear my new kigu at MFF coming up in a couple months!

Hmmmm what could this be?

I'm making sushi today!

Still trying to figure out how to consistently roll it. Half the rolls I made fell apart and required an extra sheet of nori to barely hold together.

Can you guess which nut decided to fight me for an hour when I replaced a cracked strut mount on my car today?

I finished applying and sanding the fiberglass on the first wing. I also coated it in bondo so I can sand it smooth later to get rid of the fiberglass texture.

The fiberglass was a success! I still have to fiberglass the other side, but the glass on this side adhered strongly. It looks ugly from the sanding but the surface is smooth and almost ready for primer.

The wingtip asparagus pieces are practically like an artichoke.

Only 2.4 KG of 3D printing left to do. Then it's all down to how long it takes me to finish all the post processing.

I put fiberglass on the first side of the first Gus wing. Did I do good or did I completely mess it up?

I will find out in a day or two when the resin is fully cured.

Look at how much is printed! This is 2.5 months of 3D printing.

He's still split up into a few large chunks and not fully printed yet, but I wanted to get a mockup photo now that I can see his full size from head to tail.

It's not very pretty at this stage. I'm sanding and gap filling the fully printed sections with bondo spot putty so all those seams from gluing 200 chunks of plastic together will disappear when painted. Also my basement is a mess.

It's a wing! Fully assembled, but it needs a lot of work to look nice. I plan on testing how a layer of fiberglass will work. It already feels very sturdy but I don't want to take any chances with wind during a storm blowing a wing off since this will be an outdoor decoration.

I keep checking on my printer wanting this print to be finished so I can finish assembling the right wing but for some reason that's not making it go faster.

Gus's right wing is starting to take shape!
