Elegant looking jet. The engine air intake is unique in that it has a lower extended lip. It must create a vortex into the engine at a higher angle of attack, for instance, at landing.

As Zelensky said in today's press conference, his UAF evaluation team knows what they want and need. The Gripne E comes closest to these needs. The F-35 has stealth, and there is no doubt about its value. But how to base F-35s in a war zone where drones reach the whole country?

3. A radar with 200° filed of view, where you can fight from a doppler notch position.
4. A software architecture that allows mission SW updates in days and that enables AI agents.

The F-35, Rafale lacks all four characteristics, the Eurofighter three (the new German version has 2, the Gripen EW).

This means that for Germany, the EF EW Long Term Evolution (LTE) is equivalent to SAAB Arexis. Wonder what UK, Italy, and Spain do?

Brilliant explanation of all the stuff around Continued Air Worthiness 👍. More of this, I learn. I'm an aircraft performance consultant for the airline industry and know quite a bit about development and production certification but not enough about the operational part. Thanks!

Flown the Tiger Moth once. Of the 15 types I've flown, it was the most sensitive on the stick. A real delight.

The headlines are incorrect. The F-16 pilots shot down four cruise missiles with the F-16 missiles, then a further two with the cannon.

We are now seeing phase two of the maritime USV development. Phase 1 was when they did ISR and target ramming, now they are motherships for extended operations. You have to be impressed by the ingenuity of the Ukrainians.
