The western PA meshtastic group sent up a weather balloon with a node on it last week and I actually picked it up here in Ohio!

So I took a chance and bought a tent for a pickup with a 5 foot bed, hoping it would fit in the 4.5ft bed of a Maverick.
It'd be a perfect fit if I didn't have the chase rack behind the cab. It's good enough though!
I've always wanted one of these types of tents.

Decided to give meshtastic a try.
Printed up a nifty case I found on Thingiverse and got it all wired up.
Sadly it's bedtime, so flashing and setting up the node will have to wait until after work tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out!

It has a few things that need repaired, so I decided to tear it down and give it a good thorough cleaning and inspection. She's dirty!

Started work on the Gold Wing. First order of business was replace the broken trunk restraint cables with straps I made by cutting a 1 inch nylon strap down the middle and sewing it to mini d-rings. Hopefully these will be more durable.

Got 4 different Icterids at mom's feeder tonight. That Oriole was incredibly elusive.

With a vinyl cutter, I can dress my truck up like it's from any fictional facility my beardy little heart desires.

Finally about done with my homemade powerbank. Just have to install the fan and barrel jack.
Plan on using this to power some 12v work lights, charge my laptop on trips, etc.
As a bonus, I can also use it to boost my ecoflow power station's charge another 40% in an emergency.

So I've been shopping for an ambulance for... reasons.
God I wish I had a way to get it home, cause I'd be heading up to Wisconsin to get the gryph ambulance right now! (I also love Sprecher's root beer.)

There were a lot of things in there I'd never even heard of, so I think it skewed me more to the center than I really am.

Last night & the first part of today were an adventure.
Came across a bunch of ducklings that had been hit by a car and discovered one of them was unharmed but in shock.
Took it home and kept it warm for the night.
After a lot of searching found a bird sanctuary & took the little guy there today.
