Been crafting non-stop (minus necessities, like sleep) for two days now because I got called in short-notice to do a very large show and I decided I needed new inventory

You have to understand, I haven't worked this hard on anything since I was in college 😭
One tackle box tray (of ten) that I'm working to fill. This one is one of two small trays, and has twenty compartments. All but one compartment contain recently-made handmade jewelry by me. Earrings, necklaces, and keychains. The last compartment is still empty...for now.

The inspirations: full moons and gnarly trees
the full moon stands bright against a night sky, the radiance of it illuminating the surrounding clouds. Silhouetted in front are branches from a black walnut tree A bent and twisted tree next to a river. It appears as though the top of the tree was bent at a right angle to the trunk, probably by a fallen neighbor, which it then grew around. The resulting trunk grows vertically as expected for five-ish feet, then there's a sharp bend to the viewer's right, that curves upward to vertical once more. While once broken, it still grew, and eventually healed.

Attempt #1: copper wire in a rough oval. Mediocre wrapping, tool marks galore, bead is off-center. I wrapped with the wrong size of wire and it shows Attempt #2: copper wire in an elegant upside-down teardrop shape. Tool marks persist, but the shape and wrapping are worlds better, and everything is more centered

Velvety red gladiolas - a stack of bell-shaped flowers on a very tall stem. The things get, like, three feet tall, lol. Deep maroon lilies with bright red stamens. A patch of deep purple oxalis, some with white flowers. Oxalis kinda look like clovers in the leaves - groups of three leaves, growing low to the ground - but the flowers are vastly different from clovers. These guys are star-shaped, but also kind of trumpety.

So I just found out today that one of the necklaces I made was on TV last year! The young woman pictured below is Erin Willman, a pillar of the community here in Warren, PA, speaking to the Senate in DC last December about disability access in higher education.

Checking up on my latest make: polymer clay incense holders. I sprayed a clear-coat on them yesterday to seal the painting I did on them, and I think I like the matte finish more, overall. 🤔
