For the gospels, one theory, I'm not sure how widely accepted, would be to present the life of Jesus in a biography similar to those that existed for famous figures in the world at the time, think the parrelel lives. Straight up prostelyisation is probably another major reason

Earliest forms we know existed? So like the autographs of the letters of Paul or the gospels? Is your question why are these people writing these texts? For the epistles it would have been to clear up doctrinal or operational issues, sometimes forging them as if from some authority figure

I wonder why he ever joined the Labour policy if he's gloating about being a Conservative but effective. Mask off moment or is this really what he thinks it is to be Labour? Driving disabled people into despair, inflating the profits of arms dealers and immiserating the lives of millions?
