PDs doubled their seats between 1997 and 2002, before losing almost all in 2007. The 1997 intake of 4 had the ability to collapse the FF led Govt, so had leverage. In 2002 they doubled their seats but lost all leverage. This could not be said about any other coalition until the 2020 Green Party.
