Well intentioned; Humanly unreliable. Born Irish living in England.
My only expectation of Labour is that they are not the Tories and, in a good year, reverse some of the harm that has been pressed on us. Oh, and to be a bit more efficient! Not a high bar, but the best that is on offer.

If someone does not strongly defend the principle, it will look like the debate is between the "let's strip everyone who disagrees with us of their rights" and the "oh, I'm not sure about that." You cannot ignore that the reach of the BBC in the country far outstrips any other platform.

Abolish employee national insurance and transfer it to income tax, which will leave the tax burden on ordinary people the same and increase the tax rate on the 60+ by 8.5%.

This stunning street mural, was created by the renowned UK graffiti artist and graphic designer Sarah Yates. The mural was painted on the boarded-up façade of the Osborne Hotel in Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland, for the 2024 "Wake the Giant" festival.

If I recall, her father worked at the resort and got her a summer job. She wasn't a masseur or physical therapist; however, she did meet the fair Miss Maxwell there.

I think one, if not both, of the parents is running away from a breakdown or personality collapse, hiding in some youthful fantasy. The others are unfortunate collateral damage. Strong-willed, though, to have carried it this far.

Is Trump the Milo Mindbender in this situation? Saying loudly, I am going to bomb you in two weeks? Mayhaps the Iranians might have moved their stockpile? War manoeuvres by agreement with the enemy. The question is, what is the payback?

I use bluesky as the pointer for following topics, but I also use X, Instagram, et al. The major difference is that I am happy enough to post here; posting on X has led to a deluge of abuse, so I don't. Here I can talk to strangers relatively safely.

Unless it is court ordered, it is a statement. and could be restated.

Oh, I agree, and hopefully the publicity will prompt such a change. Obviously their welfare is better served by remaining with their parents. When the rules of the game are kinked, I have no problem bending them. And I bet the Home Office wished they had!

All rule-based systems soon reach a point where "common sense" requires that an exception be made. However, such discretion is the gateway to corruption, so it is resisted, hence this. Curious, why did the father not declare he was the sole carer? a small distortion and could be transitionally true.

"Many of the EDS policies take positions on contested political and policy disputes over which reasonable people can and do disagree." Surely that's a good description of the rulings of this court. A totally politicised institution. Or are their rulings correct, as the court is infallible?
