Zodiac Age gave it a huge bump, I played the OG and struggled towards the end (didn't finish it). Zodiac Age I went bananas and got all the trophies and stuff. Incredible experience! Near the top of my future-replay list right now

I had a similar experience. After I beat it, I did it again in what they call "Final Fantasy Mode" and skipping all cutscenes. Somehow I found it a lot more fun on the second round and the weapon upgrading got a tiiiiny bit better (which is not saying much lol). It bumped it to 8/10 for me

Turn on the dot in the middle of the screen (I forgot how it's worded). It may not look super pretty but it def helps me with motion sickness. Also I've found in other games that reducing the camera speed helps too, but I didn't need it this time (motion blur off + the dot was enough in my case).
