Spring flowers are very late this year, but the ‘Greengarden’ daffodils have finally arrived. 🌱

Despite my best efforts at friendship, the local bird and squirrel population remain intent on their plan to kill me (I’m allergic).

I’m clinging on the fact that gardening season will be here soon. This is last year’s accidental pairing of some rogue red zinnias with Salvia guaranitica. I ended up loving it, and so did the pollinators. 🌱#fridayflowers #gardening

I can do #tinyflowertuesday. Verbena bonariensis is a pollinator magnet, and if you plant it once you’ll never be without it, since it’s a prolific reseeder (it’s invasive in warmer zones, so be careful). 🌱 #gardening

As we mentally prepare ourselves for sub zero and single digit temps next week, Sam and I are daydreaming about this year’s garden plans. 🌱

Anyway, if you need me I’ll be self-soothing by looking through pollinator photos from last year’s garden. 🌱

Finally. 🌱 I started two amaryllis this year, and ‘Cape Horn’ is showing up at last. ‘Alasca’ is still a 2” nubbin. 😅

Every time I start a new social account I say I’m going to focus on one thing. It can be gardening OR politics/current events, OR random nonsense, but not all three. I’m sorry to disappoint us all, but it’s going to be all three. Also cats.
