Reading BLACK WATER by Joyce Carol Oates (good!) and listening to THE LAKE by Richard Laymon (bad! Fun bad, but still bad).

Watched it and the sequel for the first time this year. Was genuinely moved to tears by the latter

Every day I wish we'd gotten the Julia Queen of Hell storyline we deserved (but I respect Clare Higgins wanting to pursue other roles)

Watched this and THE BOSTON STRANGLER about a month ago.

Being a writer is like surfing. Always hoping to catch the perfect wave, but most of your time will be spent paddling against the tide or just floating, waiting, eyes on the horizon while you watch other people riding their highs into the sunset. But you have to love the work more than the ride.
