Coffee-fueled GenXer learning to be feral. Witty banter enthusiast. Kinda bratty. Definitely a Gremlin.
Will bite if unprovoked. 📷 ✍️ 📖 🏕️
I often forget about this app, but I need my Rich Richmond posts to start my day. 🤗

This is the thing about one snap in time. This caused me incredible angst and physical pain, but the person viewing this image would see a happy, glowing woman.
So, use care with people. Give grace. No matter what appears on screen, you never know the pain behind the smile. 💋💙🫶🏻

That pain was so severe that it caused weakness in my right arm for several weeks.
If I’m not careful, I still easily irritate that muscle group and tendons when I take selfies.

The anxiety was so intense that I unknowingly kept holding my breath while I had the camera up. The last shot I took (this one) was the last because my body was forced to inhale so hard that it caused a sharp shooting pain from my neck to my elbow.

This picture was in response to that troll.
It then started other women and men, showing off their cleavage in solidarity. It was a good moment. It made me proud in many ways.
What people didn't know:
I didn't own any low-cut tops to show my cleavage, so I had to wear an outerwear sweater.

I felt strongly, despite my dysmorphia and fear of showing too much skin, that my 50-year-old breasts wanted to prove that women are beautiful at all ages.

That day, a troll publicly called out a popular & beautiful woman on Threads for having the audacity to show her 40-year-old cleavage in a selfie on her own page.

Still, I will carry her torch within me and share the flames of freedom, welcome, friendship, and hope until her bonfires light the way to a new beginning.

No longer the shining city upon the hill.
The great lady of liberty no longer enlightens the world.
Once full of hope and welcome, her harbor home is now full of hate without mercy.
