He knocked on the door, calling through it with his voice steady and cool. “Did you forget yourself again, Kaveh? Will I need to cook today, or am I just going to have to get something from Lambad’s?” No response. Alhaitham pulled his sound-cancelling headphones off his ears and let them hang around his neck as he knocked on the door once more- this time with a little more force. “Kaveh, at least respond to me when I ask. I know you’re busy in there trying to appease another impossible client, but I would like to eat sometime this evening.” Worrying his lip slightly, the former Scribe cursed himself internally. He didn’t mean for a lot of the way he spoke to the blonde to come across as condescending or harsh. Since their fallout, the only way they seemed to communicate was through empty bickering and pushing each other’s buttons.

Despite a veritable endless supply of cardboard, toothpicks, and paper that he could use to make something rather grand, the object of Kaveh’s building obsession was the decks of cards that his father kept for the occasional poker night he would have with his old akademiya friends. The playing cards had been in his family for as long as he could remember, thick yellowed cards, worn with time, decorated with ornate backs in hues of greens and blue, while the front of them depicted different flowers that were native to Sumeru. The budding architect would always ‘borrow’ them, spending hours trying to balance the cards perfectly, so he could create the best and tallest house of cards that had ever been seen!

The Last Stand in Old Sharlayan. Posting this because it’s not gonna be edited and/or not worked on anymore but I had been slowly working on DG/Lillium story.

With the newfound lore I want to take a different route but know I was calling DG Citrine and now I will use Eheeya because it’s beautiful and oh man the lore…

The cruiserweight fighter more commonly known as Dancing Green, had visitied the bar Spinel worked at most nights, The Surge. With his skin-tight shorts and thigh-highs leaving little to the imagination, Citrine had flirted with him all evening, only calling on him to serve his small party and generously tipping him when they decided to move onto their next location. A tip that was rather heatedly stuffed into the waistband of his shorts with a sly wink and a tilt of the taller man’s head. By the time Spinel was clocking out to head to his small apartment for some much needed rest (and to cool off after serving one of the Arcadion’s most cherished), Citrine was waiting at the exist, suddenly sheepish and shy. He confessed that he had ditched his entourage to offer to walk him home and had been waiting in the back alley for almost two bells. It was an offer Spiel took immediately with a bright smile and tactile reassurance. Another google doc screenshot that reads: The two then took their time, Spinel happily found himself surprised to learn that the other shetona knew sign-language, and didn’t make him feel uncomfortable or embarrassed for not being able to communicate verbally. When Citrine broached the topic about his voice, Spinel shrugged, explaining that he’s never been able to speak- even if he tried to force it- almost as if he never had one to begin with. That soon lapsed into him further confessing that he had amnesia- there was a running theory that he had been from outside the dome from what Queen Sphene had recounted when he was bought to Solution 9. A nasty Lightning strike that had left a web of scars across an already unfamiliar body… it nearly killed him but instead, he now suffered not knowing where he came from, or why he was in Yyasulaani the day the dome appeared. Citrine’s eyes bubbled with tears, pushing up his groovy glasses to wipe at them before looking back down at Spinel with wet eyes. “I’m sorry… it’s just… so sad to hear, y’know?”
