I'm guessing you should be fine if you don't make your model too complex. Also keep in mind there's a "Show Quality" option where you can turn down the quality (full, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8) to have stuff run better while working on it! Just so you know: this doesn't affect the final outputs quality
